Profile
Anshumaan is the Horizon Europe UK National Contact Point for Cluster 4 Industry and Innovate UK’s Global Innovation Lead for Manufacturing and Materials. He supports UK organisations in navigating international opportunities across key sectors, including the frontier industrial applications identified in the Advanced Manufacturing Sector Plan of the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy.
His background combines mechanical engineering, product design and development, technology policy and science diplomacy, with experience spanning three major global markets. This enables him to bring together technical, commercial and policy perspectives when advising businesses, universities, research and technology organisations and other stakeholders.
Alongside his National Contact Point responsibilities, Anshumaan serves as the UK delegate for Industry on the European Commission’s Cluster 4 Programme Committee. He contributes to discussions that inform future Horizon Europe work programmes while raising awareness of the UK’s research and innovation priorities.
He supports stakeholders working in areas including manufacturing, materials, minerals, textiles and construction. He helps organisations identify collaborative opportunities, build strong international partnerships, understand funding requirements, differentiate their work from the existing state of the art and maximise the impact of their participation.
