Presentations from Research Manager London Event
Those who attended the Horizon Europe Research Manager Event, can access all presentations from the day.
All presentations will be available for everyone to access when we have finalised our Research Managers events in February.
Aim of the event
We are excited to invite you to the first UKRO Regional Research Managers Event, taking place in London on 9 December, from 9 am to 4.30 pm.
This full-day event promises to be an energising and insightful opportunity for European Liaison Officers and Research Managers across the London, South & Wales region.
The registration closing date for this event has been extended to 14 November.
This event is the first of a series of regional events which UKRO will be hosting across the UK in 2025-2026. Information about the next regional events will be shared soon.
Expect a dynamic mix of expert talks, practical teach-in sessions, and plenty of time for valuable networking with colleagues in similar roles.
You’ll hear the latest on:
- How UKRI and UKRO continue to support UK participation in Horizon Europe
- Current perspectives on FP10
- And much more, shaped by your own input

A survey to allow you to express your preferred topics will be open via the same link until 17 October.
The event is not restricted to any topic or Horizon Europe area – the feedback you provide via the survey will help us tailor the agenda to reflect the topics and challenges that matter most to you.
We will circulate the full agenda and list of speakers to registered participants closer to the time of this event.
Benefits of attending in person include the opportunity for active networking with UKRI and UKRO staff, and colleagues from across the London, South & Wales regions. As well as being able to fully participate in breakout discussions and rapporteur sessions. For online attendees, we will do our best to facilitate online breakouts and are in discussions with our host on how we will manage this.
Who should attend?
This event is specifically designed for European Liaison Officers (ELOs) and Research Managers.
You are welcome to share this invitation with colleagues in your office who would benefit from attending. However, note that in-person places are limited, and teams may wish to discuss in advance balancing in-person and online attendees.
