The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) are organising the third EAC-JRC science-policy event on 21 November, 11.00-13.00 online (UK time), part of the science-policy initiative to bring researchers and policymakers closer for stronger evidence-based policymaking.
The event will feature MSCA fellows and alumni with experience in public administration – through secondments, placements and post-fellowship career path in administration. We will also hear from policymakers who took part in two Technical Support Instrument projects with JRC.
The main objectives of the event are to:
- Raise awareness of the different training and mobility opportunities for researchers in public administration and ways to contribute to evidence-informed policymaking
- Understand better the needs and experiences of policymakers hosting researchers and/or working within the science-policy interface
- Provide tips and support to researchers looking to connect with and communicate their research with policymakers, including tips from policymakers.
- Provide concrete examples of cooperation between science and policy
All interested individuals and organisations in the wider R&I community are welcome to join and share their experience – researchers, national and international policymakers, knowledge brokers, project leaders.
